About Steve Friedman
Steve Friedman and his wife, Sharon, have been proud residents of Clyde Hill since 2013. They have two children and three grandchildren. Steve has been an active member of the Eastside community since 1985.
Steve's professional background is rooted in the cable TV and Broadband industry. Prior to his retirement in 2016, he served as the President and Chief Operating Officer of Wave Broadband, a Kirkland-based company known for its outstanding customer support and reliable service. Under Steve's leadership, Wave employed over 1,300 individuals and served over 425,000 internet, cable, and phone customers across Washington, Oregon, and California.Since April 2020, Steve has been serving on the City Council, bringing his customer-focused approach to community service.

Steve Friedman's Vision and PrioritiesAs Mayor, Steve Friedman aims to bring a customer-focused approach to serving our community. He believes in supporting our staff, working collaboratively, and making decisions with the residents' best interests at heart.Key Priorities:1. Safety: Steve is committed to supporting our Police and keeping our streets safe. He has demonstrated a productive and mutually supportive relationship with our Police and staff.2. Quality of Life: Steve aims to maintain Clyde Hill’s quality of life by supporting staff in their roles and helping them focus on key priorities.3. Sustainable Budget: Steve plans to implement a sustainable budget to provide our City with financial resources to support services in 2024 and beyond.4. Staff Satisfaction and Retention: Steve values our staff and aims to ensure their satisfaction and retention.5. Housing: Steve aims to protect housing values and proactively implement state-mandated housing regulations.6. Communication: Steve plans to improve communication to the public via an updated website and other communication improvements.7. City Codes: Steve aims to ensure that our City Codes are clear and consistently enforced.8. Collaboration: Steve believes in collaboration with Council, staff, and the public, and values public input as a guide.
